Flecha, meaning “arrow” in Spanish, draws from the geometric language often found in traditional Guatemalan textiles. Arrows and triangles are longstanding motifs, and in this design, they’re paired with zigzag patterns that evoke the serpent—an important figure in Maya culture representing wisdom, the earth, and abundance.

This pillow was handwoven in the highland town of Nahualá, celebrated for its intricate brocade technique. Each motif is built line by line, with every thread of color carefully hand-placed. The process requires not only deep skill and focus, but also exceptional memory and mathematical precision—resulting in a textile that is as meaningful as it is masterfully made.

  • Spot clean or gently hand wash in cold water. Use a mild detergent and wash each product separately. Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not dry clean.
