Handwoven by Alirio and his family on a traditional floor loom, this fabric draws from one of Guatemala's most beloved domestic textiles, the panito, a cloth woven for generations to grace the tables of Guatemalan homes as placemats. Familiar in nearly every household, this fabric is traditionally rendered in vivid colors and bold stripes, a celebration of the country's exuberant chromatic sensibility. Here, we have stripped it back to its essence, allowing the extraordinary structure of the weave itself to take center stage.

In a quiet, unassuming cream, the complexity of the textile reveals itself fully, soft undulating curves emerge from the interlacing of threads, creating a subtle dimensionality that catches light and invites touch.   • MATERIALS: 100% Cotton 

    WIDTH: 35” 

    REPEAT: 0.75”H | 0.5” V

    MINIMUM: 1 yard

    RESERVES & CFA: CFAs are available on orders over 5 yards. Please email sales@rbcurated.com if the CFA shipping address is different than the fabric shipping address.

  • Spot clean or gently hand wash in cold water. Use a mild detergent and wash each product separately. Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not dry clean.
