Cosecha Fabric By The Yard

$245.00

Handwoven by Gudi on the same footloom as Tela Luz, Cosecha begins with a view most visitors to Guatemala will recognize, the patchwork of farm fields that stretch across the highlands and valleys, their neat grids etched into the landscape like a living map of sustenance and season.

The delicate squares of this fabric are a quiet homage to that pattern, and to the deep relationship between weaving and agriculture that runs through Guatemalan life. Many of the artisans we work with are also farmers, stepping away from their looms during planting and harvest to tend their fields. Here, weaving is not separate from life, it is woven into it.

Gudi achieved the grid design not through added complexity, but through precision: varying the density of threads in both the weft and warp to create a subtle, beautiful geometry from the structure of the cloth itself. Like Tela Luz, Cosecha is ideal for curtains, light, soft, and quietly sophisticated, with a pattern that speaks to the land it comes from.
